WHAT ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR?

We live in a busy world that makes us feel inadequate, makes us constantly crave something more, something "better". Being a part of this everlasting race is exhausting. But it is also something that you can change. The question is, do you want to be a mindless follower, never satisfied and happy with the present circumstances? Or do you want to live a mindful and fulfilling life? The choice is yours.

If you were waiting for someone who can save you, look in the mirror. You have the ability to change your situation. No one else. I'm not gonna lie to you, it takes work. It takes practice. And dedication. But if you are willing to get on board, it will be worth your while. There is one word that is so powerful it can change your life.

GRATITUDE.

The key to a good life is to be grateful for what you already have. This is how you attract more abundance into your life. This is how you make room for new, amazing things to happen.

Like attracts like, so if your thoughts are good and loving, you attract more positive things into your life. But if your thoughts are fearful and pessimistic, negative experiences are brought on you.

"For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him"
Mt.13:12 
What you need to do first is to change your thinking patterns. And since your thoughts shape your reality, you can make them work for you, not against you.

You don't think you have anything to be grateful for? Think again. There is ALWAYS something in your life you can be thankful for. Something you probably take for granted. Potable water, health, a friend, a place to live, etc.

If you want your life to change its course, commit to a 30 day challenge. Everyday after waking up make a gratitude list of 5 things you are grateful for. Write them down like "I'm really grateful and thankful for what/who  because why." Once you finish writing them, read them again and try to feel as grateful as possible while doing so. Ten minutes everyday for 30 days, and you will see a difference. This exercise is really powerful because it shifts your perspective. It shows you that there are so many good things in your life. This shift makes a world of difference.

Try it, because you - just like everyone else - deserve happiness.
And happiness takes practice.
